University of New Hampshire, B.A., 1983; University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, J.D., 1986. Admitted to practice in the Massachusetts Courts and United States District Court, joined Lynch & Lynch in 1987. Ms. Karabelas concentrates in representation of defendants throughout the litigation process, including mediation, arbitration, and trial, in personal injury, premises liability, and lead paint poisoning matters. She has served as lead counsel in over 25 Superior Court trials, adjunct counsel in many additional Superior Court trials, and has handled countless arbitrations, mediations, and District Court trials. Ms. Karabelas has developed a specialized concentration in representation of defendants in lead paint poisoning matters. Attorney Karabelas has participated in continuing legal education programs for the MDLA, writing and presenting an article for the 2004 annual meeting on evidentiary issues surrounding the use of autopsy reports, death certificates, and statements of deceased persons. She has also been recognized by the Commonwealth for outstanding performance as a volunteer in the District Court conciliation and pre-trial program. She is active as a volunteer in various school, youth sport and church capacities and enjoys downhill skiing and mountain climbing.
