Areas of Practice |
Our
professional liability practice group represents attorneys, accountants
and other professionals in both civil litigation and matters before
administrative disciplinary agencies. The members of this practice group
have, over the past 20 years, handled literally thousands of claims and
lawsuits filed against professionals. Additionally, our practice includes
providing advice to and representation of attorneys and other
professionals with regard to complaints filed with disciplinary bodies
such as the Office of Bar Counsel and the Board of Bar Overseers. We
recognize the significance of competent legal representation when one’s
professional reputation is at risk and further recognize the client’s
personal stake in professional liability litigation. As such, we seek to
involve our professional liability clients in the handling and decision
making process with regard to claims and/or law suits we handle on their
behalf and always welcome input and suggestions from these clients. Of
course, in handling professional liability matters we are sensitive to the
issues of confidentiality and take all reasonable steps to strive to
insure the same. We also consult the attorneys and other professionals who seek advice with regard to risk management issues and steps a professional may take to limit his/her exposure to claims and lawsuits. Handling professional liability in a confidential manner. |
