John F. Gleavy
Attorney John Gleavy’s practice is focused primarily on litigation with over 15 years of experience in civil matters. As a trial attorney, he handles and supervises all aspects of litigation and has successfully litigated matters involving personal injury and property damage. Many of his property damage cases involve construction related issues as well as defending claims for unfair and deceptive trade practices and his clients who are typically contractors or trades people. He has active cases in the Federal and State courts.
His practice regularly involves advising insurance claims personnel and managers as to all aspects of claims including risk management, settlement strategies, and insurance coverage issues. Attorney Gleavy’s other areas of practice include: insurance defense, municipal law, civil rights, the Wetlands Protection Act, Chapter 21E, nuisance, and appellate practice.
Attorney Gleavy received his law degree from New England School of Law, J.D., graduating Cum Laude in 1997 after having obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Suffolk University. In law school, he served as law clerk at the Brockton Superior Court as part of Honors Judicial Clerkship program. He is admitted to practice in the Massachusetts State and Federal Courts.
