J. William Chamberlain, Jr.
J. William Chamberlain, Jr. concentrates his practice in the representation of professionals, primarily the defense of attorneys in malpractice actions. He handles cases in the state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level. Attorney Chamberlain has successfully defended attorneys with regard to claims brought against them not only concerning the provision of legal services but also with regard to claims brought against them in their capacity as fiduciaries, such as trustees and guardians ad litem. In addition to his representation of attorneys, he has also represented insurance agents, real estate agents and brokers, home inspectors, and accountants in professional liability matters, both administratively and in litigation. He also represents attorneys in disciplinary proceedings before the Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers. His practice also includes the representation of professional liability insurers in coverage matters.
Attorney Chamberlain graduated from the University of Massachusetts, cum laude, in 1993 and obtained his law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law in 1996, summa cum laude, where he was recognized by West Publishing for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement and served as a law review editor. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, the United States District Court – District of Massachusetts, and the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
