Clyde K. Hanyen

Clyde K. Hanyen, Esq. has been admitted to practice in Massachusetts and New Jersey for thirty-two years. Over that time he has represented businesses and individuals in courts and in private arbitrations and mediations. Whether representing plaintiffs or defendants, respect for all involved in the process has resulted in a reputation for honesty, fairness and collegiality.

A graduate of Brown University and Boston University School of Law, Mr. Hanyen has served as a law clerk for a justice of the Superior Court of New Jersey, and as supervising attorney on the Appellate Research Staff of the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey. In private practice Mr. Hanyen has been retained by insurers to represent their insureds in defense of automobile claims, construction site accidents, premise liability claims, dram shop cases, copyright infringement claims, product liability claims, unfair settlement practices actions, and coverage disputes. Plaintiff claims in all of the above areas have been handled on a regular basis.

Throughout his career Mr. Hanyen has served as an advisor to individuals and businesses, large and small. He is thus familiar with issues of lease negotiation and interpretation, contractual indemnification, insurance coverage, and shareholder and partnership arrangements.

Mr. Hanyen has arbitrated and mediated claims through private agreement of the parties, under the auspices of the American Arbitration Association, and through Commonwealth Mediation and Conciliation, Inc. He has served as a volunteer conciliator in the Courts of Norfolk and Plymouth Counties and has completed Court Mandate Training for Arbitrators.

Mr. Hanyen enjoys golf, fishing, skiing, reading, and a good laugh.
