Attorney Pursley’s practice covers a broad spectrum of personal injury, property damage and employment litigation, with an emphasis on insurance, products liability and workplace discrimination matters.  He has successfully tried, arbitrated and mediated cases filed in state and federal court in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  His insurance work includes automobile and premises liability cases, SIU investigations and coverage issues.  His recent SIU work has included investigation of appraisal fraud involving auto body repair shops in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  His products liability work includes cases involving asbestos, motor vehicles, marine products, industrial and commercial machinery and consumer appliances.  His employment work has involved matters commenced in the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights.  Attorney Pursley also represents businesses on corporate, contract and employee matters.  He also currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Town of Easton’s Zoning Board of Appeals.

 

Attorney Pursley has practiced at Lynch & Lynch since 2007, joining the firm after working for many years at Cornell & Gollub, where he was a partner from 2000 – 2007.  He attended the University of Massachusetts, B.A., graduating magna cum laude in 1985.  He attended law school at Boston University, where he was a G. Joseph Tauro scholar, graduating in 1988.

 

Attorney Pursley is admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Rhode Island State Courts, and the United States District Courts for the Districts of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Defense Counsel of Rhode Island, and the Massachusetts and Rhode Island Bar Associations.
